Vision

Our vision for the Presbytery of San Diego is that it be

a leadership cadre and catalyst for the churches within its boundaries,

celebrating the Lordship of Jesus Christ under the authority of scripture,

empowering churches to minister to their congregations and communities,

demonstrating what God intends for all humanity.

Therefore, we call upon our Presbytery to

be Biblically-based and Christ-centered in

• evangelism,
• church growth and health
• and world mission

by providing resources, training and guidance for our congregations.

We desire to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with our God,

and to provide for the spiritual nurture and care of the Presbytery’s pastors.

A new openness to diversity in membership

and to ecumenical ministries

   as we share in worship, fellowship and nurture

under the guidance of the Holy Spirit

A deliberate effort to reach our non-Christian neighbors

in San Diego and Imperial counties and around the world

   to call them to personal saving faith in Christ

and active discipleship in the fellowship of the church.
