Next Wave Next Wave Timeline of Events The Honolulu Story Revised Glenkirk and Covina Conversation Synod Conversation 0511a May 31 Table Conversations FAQs 0611 AC Motion Presbytery June 2011 The Next Wave Task Force grew out of a conversation with the Presbytery Council in March, 2011, about how to respond to some of the changes going on across the denomination.  Before the Executive Presbyter pulled the group together for its first meeting, we had received a couple of requests from churches requesting to transfer into the Presbytery of San Diego.  This ended up shaping and focusing the subsequent conversations.  The Presbytery Council made this an official task force in May, 2011.  Because it is so unusual and unprecedented to have churches asking to transfer in, a number of questions have been raised, as well as requests for information.  One way to respond to these requests was to put information here on our website, so that people could go online and read it for themselves, when they had time available to do so.  We hope the information we have posted here will help you better understand what has been happening and why.  As new developments continue to emerge, we will add more information to help you track what is going on.
