Hope Ministries of San Diego was formally organized and incorporated in late 1990 primarily to make it possible for Rev. Hollis Allen to provide personal pastoral care for the growing numbers of persons living with AIDS, their families and their friends in the greater San Diego area.

Rev. Allen was an early pastor of the Solana Beach Presbyterian Church. He serves closely with the AIDS Chaplaincy Program, Owen Clinic, Being Alive, and other agencies and individuals committed to the well being of persons affected by AIDS.

The ministry is inter-denominational, non-judgmental, and committed to the compassion of Jesus Christ, bringing God's love, His help, His hope, and His healing to persons hurting as a result of the HIV virus. Reverend Allen has the joy of leading many young men to faith in Christ and getting them ready for eternity. He also has been instrumental in bringing reconciliation to many families.
