Committee Definition: PDAC is a committee of the SD Presbytery established in 2008 to
provide a link between the Presbytery and other community organizations active in disaster
preparedness and response. Membership is open to representatives from congregations
within the Presbytery.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Volunteer San Diego is the non-profit organization tasked with the coordination of spontaneous volunteers who
wish to become involved with disaster relief in San Diego. If you or your congregation wishes to assist, go to
their web site and register. The intent is to have a listing of individuals who can be called when disaster strikes.

How do you prepare your congregation?
This is a manual to assist your congregational disaster preparedness committee
increase organizational disaster preparedness for your congregation and
organization. To start, download and print Part I, The Guidebook.

This section describes the process to initiate your team and begin your
preparation. It will direct your process and reference the components of the
Workbook and Appendix as they pertain to your process.
Part II: Workbook
This section includes forms and templates to use to create your congregational
Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Response Plan.
Part III: Appendix
This section includes a description of the Incident Command System, web sites,
and other resource information for your committee.
